My first impression of Dr. Wizman was this amazing bundle of energy! Looking into bariatric surgery is something I've avoided for years, and here he was, making me feel ready to do this. His knowledge and expertise made me feel comfortable about proceeding with the surgery. He let me know what to expect and was completely honest about what I had to do for success.

The office staff has been wonderful and supportive throughout. They handled all the paperwork for my insurance so efficiently that there were no delays in scheduling my surgery.

Deciding to have the surgery was step one. Following up afterwards is of upmost importance and the bariatric team emphasizes that. Dr. Wizman helped me understand that my lapband is a tool, not a miracle cure, for my obesity. And like any other tool, you have to learn how to use it to be effective! Dr. Wizman is very busy (almost like a rock star!), so I rarely get to see him in the office, but he does attend the lapband support group meeting monthly and gives great advice and hints for those of us having some issues. He is available via cellphone round-the-clock, and I can also reach him by posting online! He's the absolute BEST! Going to him was one of the best decisions I've made in my life!

Other surgeons said that my case was too difficult. They couldn't handle the damage from a previous surgery that went bad. Dr. Paul Wizman took an additional 2 hours to separate out all the adhesions and then he gave me my sleeve. He was able to do the job where others were not. That says it all. Today I feel better than I have in years. He is personable, he is competent, he is the whole package. You can't find better.

Dr. Wizman is wonderful! I had heard of him from others who had WLS. They all told me he was compassionate and caring. When I met him, I was having trouble with my band that another doctor had done two years prior. He immediately sent me to have a flouro. It turned out that I had a slip and needed to have another surgery to fix it. I knew right away that he was the one who was going to take care of me. I can't believe the care I receive from all of the staff in the office, as well as Dr. Wizman. After care is so important to success. Gwen keeps in touch with all of the patients and genuinely cares about us. Dr. Wizman is truly a marvelous doctor!

I was very impressed with Dr. Wizman. He was very knowledgeable and very interested in you as a person. I had been to other bariatric surgeons who did not give the time that Dr. Wizman gave to their prospective new patients. I appreciated his sense of humor and his honesty. He explained the procedure and what you can expect. My impression did not change over time. His office staff is wonderful. They have always been on top of everything. Diane who is his right arm has called me back whenever I needed anything and she is also very knowledgeable about nutrition and vitamins. Dr. Wizman empasizes a great deal on aftercare and does emphasize his group meetings that are held once a month. They are great meetings and you learn quite a lot from them. I would rate him a 10 out of a 10 overall. He had a wonderful bedside manner, great surgical competence, and if I had to do this over again I would definitely choose Dr. Wizman. I wouldn't think to go anywhere else. Thank you Dr. Wizman.

Dr. wizman came highly recomended. I had a wonderful expierience . My surgery was very sucessful. I had no complications. My diabetes is almost gone and my health has drastically improved in only 6 weeks. I feel good and it was the best decision i ever made. I wouldnt recomend anyone else but Dr. Wizman. Every patient i speak to of his,loves him. My father is driving over 300 miles to be having Dr. Wizman operate on him.
