Due to the high gas prices  and other difficulties in attending our Support Groups.  We are offering one on the west coast for those patients.  It will be led by one of Dr. Wizman's patients.  The group will meet for the first time Wednesday, August 27th in the Cape Coral area.  Call Alice for location/time details at 239-573-5956.

Back On Track
May 2008

The May Back on Track Program (May 6th and May 12th) is cancelled due to lack of reservations.  
If you were interested in attending - please call Diane and she will schedule you an appointment to discuss Back on Track privately.

The Bariatrix “Back on Track” Program is an optional program for patients that are 1 1⁄2 - 5 years post-op surgical weight loss that are needing or desiring greater weight loss success. It is also for patients who need better control of their surgical weight loss “tool.” Patients can self-refer into this program or are recommended by the Bariatrix physicians and staff. “Back on Track” has no fee and is considered part of the initial program fee that patients paid prior to their surgery. Bariatrix feels very strongly about ongoing education and support for its patients. All of the Back on Track classes are held in the office.
Reservations are needed.

Program – Includes 3 Sessions
Back To Basics
One time 2 hour Workshop re-educating and re-motivating patients regarding the principals and basic success strategies in surgical weight loss

Tuesday, May 6 (6 – 7:30 pm)

Back on Track Nutrition Class
One time 1 hour class reviewing the foundations of the Bariatrix maintenance nutritional plan and discussing helpful tips for healthy snacking, meal planning, proper eating techniques and food choices.
Presenter: Candace Chemtob RD

Back on Track Support Group Meetings
On-going support group meetings that focus on the unique needs of longer post-op bariatric patient. Patients should be motivated regarding sharing information and learning successful attitudes and behaviors that contribute to long term surgical weight loss success.
Presenter: Dr. Michael Parish, Bariatric Psychologist
