Dr. Paul Wizman received his surgical education at McGill University in Canada, after completing a fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery. He practiced general surgery for 9 years. He became deeply interested in weight loss surgery in 2001 and performed his first successful laparoscopic gastric bypass in february 2002.
Dr. Paul Wizman has since completed over 2000 cases and is accomplished at the gastric band, sleeve, and reoperative surgery involving any and all of these surgeries. he is committed to his patients and has limited his practice to the study of weight loss surgery.
Dr. Wizman also has a passion for teaching and has been involved in the preceptor and proctorship of some 70 surgeons around the world.
He currently is the Director of Center Of Excellence at North West Medical Center, Medical Director of Wellington Regional Center.
He is a director of KPJ Damansara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They have completed over fifty cases of gastric bypass as well as gastric sleeves and revisional surgeries and will be presenting their experience at international meetings.
